Mariam is a skilled and passionate Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP) at Achieve Speech Language and Learning Services. She graduated the Masters Program of Speech and Language Pathology from Macquarie University in 2013. She completed a Bachelor of Science (Psychology Major) at Sydney University in 2009.
Mariam has a 5-years background in Applied Behavioural Analysis, working as an ABA therapist for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). She incorporates ABA and play based learning in her therapy sessions, bringing the two together in a way that best suits the client.
She has experience in providing evidence-based, client-centred care to adult and paediatric clients with language, articulation, fluency and voice disorders. She also works with adults to treat swallowing disorders.
She has a special interest in community education, working to improve parent/carer awareness of speech pathology disorders. She speaks Arabic and is well experienced in working in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Populations (CALD).
She has a vision of creating a practice that holistically supports the needs of people with disabilities in every aspect of their life. She is people driven and strives for the outcomes of all her clients.
Widyan is our Occupational Therapist with extensive experience working with children and adults with disabilities. She graduated from the University of Sydney in 2009 and gained employment with the Department of Human Services as an Assessor, whereby she completed Disability Support Pension and Job Capacity Assessments.
Widyan has also worked as a Rehabilitation Consultant and completed Ergonomic and Workplace assessments as well as Risk and Functional Capacity Assessments.
Her current role is predominantly in Paediatrics, working with various special needs. Widyan's experience working with disabilities is broad, including: Developmental Disabilities, Autism, ADHD, Intellectual Disability and various other physical disabilities.
Widyan has a passion for developing her skills as continuing her personal and professional growth are an integral part of offering her clients the best therapy outcomes. She has attended several training seminars and workshops for Handwriting, Grief, Positive Behaviour Support, Sensory Processing, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Home Modifications, Wheelchair Prescription and Functional Independence Measures.
Mona is a registered psychologist with AHPRA. She is a bilingual therapist who has experience working with English and Arabic speaking families.
She is a fun, friendly psychologist who can relate well to younger kids. She has over 5 years of experience working as a school psychologist, being a guide and mentor and over 5 years of experience working in a private clinic setting.
She has a special interest in working with children who experience anxiety, poor self esteem, depression and a range of behavioural and emotional challenges.
Mona has a passion for working with parents and providing them with support and the tools with which to connect with their child.
Yusra is a Speech Pathologist Assistant currently studying a Bachelor of Speech Pathology.
During her studies, she discovered her passion for working with children and watching their lives transform as they achieve their full potential through the development of their communication skills.
She chose a career in Speech Pathology as she has a passion for helping children and families by making a difference in their lives through helping them to communicate the best they can .
Yusra has a passion for engaging children of all ages in learning and development. Her previous experience as a tutor allowed her to encourage the students in the learning processes as well as create a enjoyable learning space for her clients.
She believes that everyone deserves the right to communicate and interact with others, and loves that she can help children to do so.
Yusra’s fun, caring and bubbly personality allows her to easily build strong connections with children and their families.
Yusra is very much looking forward to completing her studies and working with children to further support their speech and language development.
Athena is a 4th year university student who is currently studying Speech Pathology at the University of Sydney. She has a passion for changing children’s lives by achieving the best possible outcomes as she draws from her previous experiences as a tutor and disability support worker.
She has experience with working with children who have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), which focused on tailoring to the needs of the children by working closely with parents. She also has experience in schools and community settings, which provided the opportunity of working in classroom/group settings as well as intensive 1:1 therapy.
Most importantly, she loves seeing the smiles on her clients’ and families’ faces when they or their children are able to learn and eventually be able to apply what they learnt in their lives! She believes in multi-modal based learning, which makes learning through play lots of fun to build a positive learning environment. Throughout her experiences, Athena has also worked with adults in the community and acute settings.
She is fluent in Cantonese and has a passion for helping people of all ages and backgrounds.
Amna is a Speech Pathology Assistant currently studying at Australian Catholic University.
Coming from a large family herself, Amna has always enjoyed being around and working with younger individuals. She continually aspires to learn and implement strategies needed to change the lives of children and their loved ones.
Amna aims to consistently provide quality service that best fits the needs of her various clients. To ensure she continually achieves this goal, Amna spends most of her time studying and researching the various strategies that best suit clients.
She is quite the bubbly, knowledgeable and a fun mentor. Amna’s caring nature and motivating attitude plays a large role in her ability to foster a positive learning-environment.

Rayan is a Speech Pathologist Assistant currently studying a Bachelor of Speech Pathology. Rayan chose to pursue a career in Speech Pathology as she believes that every person has the right to be able to communicate with others. She has the desire to help children develop their abilities to effectively communicate.
She enjoys working with children and creating an environment for them to be comfortable and feel motivated to engage in learning to communicate. Her previous experience as a tutor has helped her learn different ways to create engaging sessions for children. Her caring and energetic personality will help to easily build and maintain relations with children as well as their families.
Rayan is excited to complete her degree to continue working with children to further assist them in developing their abilities to communicate.

Sarah is currently studying a Bachelor of Psychology at Western Sydney University and has plans to become a clinical psychologist. She enjoys working and interacting with children and is excited to incorporate this into her future career.
